Zachary Paul Connor

Zachary Paul Connor, age 32, of Columbia / Vandalia, MO passed away at 11:26 pm Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at his family home in Vandalia.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia, MO. Dr. Clanton Dawson will officiate. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery, officiated by Rev. J.L. Gillette following the services.

A visitation celebrating Zachary's life will be held at 9:00 am until the time of service Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Zachary was born on June 14, 1988, in Louisiana, Missouri the son of Gary Pearl and Sharon Connor.

He is survived by his parents; His children Payton Naumann, Ka’Mero Connor, and Xyla Connor; His sisters, Bianca Connor, Gabrielle Pearl, Sondra Hunter, Cyntra Walker, Jasmyn Leer and Garionna Pearl; His brothers, Gary Marshall and Demetrias; Two nieces, Kimora Meas and Abrielle Connor, and one nephew Sergio Bravo. His aunt, Jamesella Connor (Jeffery Tubbs), and his cousin Jamon Galbreath along with a host of great aunts, great uncles, and great cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James T. Connor and Maryanne Clark; his maternal great grandparents Theodore Paul Connor and Mary Ruth Johnson. His maternal great great grandparents, Ida Lee Britt and John Clark Sr.; One brother, Christopher Pearl; Three great aunts, Ruth Johnson, Lucy Connor and Joyce Connor; Two great uncles Paul Connor and Vincent Connor. Two great cousins Sharon Connor and Greg Connor; two great great cousins, Alexis Long and Latamara Hammers and one great great great cousin Chandler Alesandro Thomas.

Zachary graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in the year 2006 and was a Baptist by faith.
 
He was employed as a warehouse associate at both Spartan and Abacus.

Zachary enjoyed music and was full of life. He knew no stranger. He loved hanging out with his brothers and family. He loved his children, nieces, nephews and was a momma’s boy. He always made the best out of the worst situations. He made a unique impression on everyone who knew him. His loved ones have suffered a tremendous loss and would like others to know a light went out the day Zachary took his final breath.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Brewster Jr., Kenneth ‘Ernie’ Pigford Sr., Kimo DeAndre Spivey, Dominic Antwan Wray, Earl Johnson, Tony ‘Packie’ Lavelle Lewis, Oquendo Harris and Deandre Oneal.

Honorary pallbearers are Frank Gardner, Larry Madison, Jason Clayton, Jeffery Tubbs, Raul Bravo, Derrick Chatman, and Gerald Tubbs.
