Service:

Monday, September 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street, Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Officiating will be: Pastor Janet Morgan.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Vandalia.
Pallbearers: Larry Beshears, James Patrick Walls, Roger Hoover, Brian C. Hoyt, James Michael Fox Jr., William Paul Fox and Trevin Jacob Teacutter. Honorary pallbearers: Donald Ingram and Donald Shiveley.

Ruth Irene (Schulze) Fox passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008 at the University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. After her marriage to Bill, Ruth became a full-time homemaker raising their family of four children. She had worked some as a seamstress for Bobby Brooks and Ely Walker garment factories. Ruth was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Vandalia and for her hobbies, she enjoyed bowling and talking on her CB with the handle "Snowbird".

Born: July 9, 1930 in rural Vandalia, Missouri the daughter of Ernst Albert "Pete" and Gladys Marie (Moore) Schulze.

Married: William H. "Bill" Fox on November 24, 1948 in Vandalia; he survives at the home.

Survivors include: husband, Bill of Vandalia; three sons: Billy Wayne Fox and Rita M. Fox of McLoud, Oklahoma; James Michael and wife, Deborah R. Fox of Warrenton, Missouri and Mark A. and wife, Patience L. Fox of Columbia, Missouri; one daughter: Becky L. and husband, Alan E. Teacutter of Columbia; one brother: David L. Schulze of Florissant, Missouri; two sisters: Mary Lou Gramley of Vandalia and Dorothy Fielder of Vandalia; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; three brothers: Amos D. Schulze, Donald W. Schulze and Charles Dean Schulze.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the VFW Post 2173 Memorial Brick Fund in care of VFW Post 2173, 100 Gaslight Rd, Vandalia, MO 63382.
