Roxie M. (Heim) Renner passed away unexpectedly at 1:10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at SSM Health, St. Mary's Hospital in Mexico. She was a 1935 graduate of Vandalia High School. After high school, Roxie worked for several years at the Ely Walker Garment Factory in Vandalia. She then started working in 1951 in the office of Heim Equipment in Laddonia. Roxie worked at Heim Equipment for 40 years before her retirement. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Vandalia. In their younger years, Roxie and husband Loy enjoyed boating and vacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks. She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her niece, nephews and their families.

Born: September 4, 1917 near Gazette, Missouri the daughter of Charles Ogle and Mary Ethel (Wright) Heim.

Married: Loy Gene Renner in Vandalia on November 21, 1959; he preceded her in death on May 28, 1975.

Survivors include: two nephews: Charles W. Heim of Laddonia; William W. and wife, Judy Heim of Perry; three nieces: Mary A. Hall of Jacksonville, Florida; Guyette Sumowski of Curryville and Sandy Renner of Vandalia; four great-nieces: Maggie (Paul) Durant of Lake St. Louis; Laura (Jim) Ries of Columbia; Angela Heim of Arizona; Ashley (Michael) DeKock of Arizona; two great-nephews: Wade (Susan) Heim of Arizona; Brent (Heather) Jones of Florida; five great-great-nieces and nephews; also survived by many friends.

Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Loy; three brothers: John W. Heim, William O. Heim and James E. Heim.

Memorials are encouraged to Tri-County Care Center or Vandalia Cemetery.
