Sunday, April 6, 2008 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street, Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Service:

Monday, April 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Harmony Christian Church in rural Curryville, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: Deborah Kraft - pianist; Marion Branstetter - soloist.
Interment will be in the New Harmony Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: John Stringer, Roger Morgan, Kevin Cockrell, Tom Spradling, Leon Shaw and Gary Giltner. Honorary pallbearers: Mark Goodin, Bruce Carlson, Melvin Dempsey, Nicky Allen, Gary Motley and Doug Lybarger.

Rick F. Hurshman passed away unexpectedly at 9:07 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Missouri. Rick was a 1975 graduate of Van-Far High School and a member of the First Christian Church in Vandalia. After school he worked for Continental Can Company in Sugarland, Texas for ten years and then worked in California for several years on oil rigs in the oil fields. Most recently, Rick had been driving a truck for Trans Wood Company of Clarksville, Missouri. Rick enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and visiting with relatives and friends.

Born: January 14, 1957 in Vandalia, Missouri the son of Ronald Francis and Shirley Louise (Branstetter) Hurshman.

Married:

Survivors include: parents, Shirley and Dayle Tredway of Louisiana, Missouri; two sons: Joseph Hurshman and Nicholas Hurshman of Austin, Texas; one sister, Vicki and husband, Frank Swarnes of Louisiana; three brothers: Ronald and wife, Tammy Hurshman of Louisiana; Rusty Tredway of Louisiana; Randy and wife, Lisa Tredway of Louisiana; "Adopted Brother", Melvin Dempsey of Bowling Green, Missouri; also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by: father, Ronald Hurshman who passed away in 1961.
