Richard “Rick” Gale Stinnett, 48, of Vandalia, MO passed away at 7:15 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019, at his home.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia. Pastor Jamie Franke will officiate.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at Waters Funeral Home.
Rick was born on July 1, 1970, in Mexico, MO the son of Jack Patton and Helen Berniece (Smith) Stinnett.
Survivors include his daughter, Aubrianna Stinnett of Vandalia, MO; Son, Corben Dorris of Vandalia, MO; brothers, Terry Stinnett of Vandalia, MO, Scott Stinnett (Roberta) of Mexico, MO, Bo Stinnett (Gayla) of Curryville, MO, and Archie Stinnett of Orlando, FL; sisters, Sue Johnson (Tom) of Maryville, TN, Debby Stinnett of Vandalia, MO, Jane Hannaford of Vandalia, MO, and Lisa Clayton (Mike) of Las Vegas, NV; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
Rick graduated from Van-Far High School in 1988. He followed his fathers foot steps and went to work as a truck driver for Gully Transportation.
Rick loved being outdoors enjoying Gods creation. When not working, Rick enjoyed piddling in his shop, helping family and friends with projects and gardening. Listening to Country Gold on KWWR 95.7 on Saturday nights and watching music videos on YouTube were a few of the simple things in life Rick enjoyed.
Family was Ricks biggest treasure. He cherished spending time with his family and had had unconditional love for his children.
Richard was a Christian by faith.
