Pallbearers:

Phyllis Uarta (Schutz) Harrelson passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 6:15 p.m. at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. Phyllis was a life-long area resident and attended Vandalia schools. She worked as a seamstress and then supervisor for over 30 years at Ely Walker, Bobbie Brooks and HTI garment factories in Vandalia. She was a member of the VFW Post 2173 Ladies Auxilliary in Vandalia and a life member of the VFW National Home. Phyllis enjoyed being outdoors with gardening, flowers and mowing. She and her husband "Buck" enjoyed dancing in their younger days.

Born: March 12, 1919 in Drake, Illinois, one of 14 children born to Claud Albert and Cecil (Painter) Schutz.

Married: James H. "Buck" Harrelson on March 12, 1939 in Bowling Green; he preceded her in death in 1989.

Survivors include: one brother, Claud Albert Schutz of Arkansas; two sisters: Maxine Ulrich of Bowling Green and Lucy Bise of Mexico; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Buck; ten of her brothers and sisters.
