Phoebe graduated from Vandalia High School and married her high school sweet heart. She was a woman with great faith in her Lord Jesus Christ.  She was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher of the First Christian Church of Vandalia.

Phoebe cherished her family and the moments they shared together.  As a mother of six children she lovingly spent many hours in caring for them.  She was a great seamstress and a wonderful cook.  Walking into house after a “hard day at school”  and smelling the aroma of a simmering pot of ham and beans and fresh baked cinnamon rolls was pure pleasure.   An even greater pleasure was calling “Mom” and she was always there to answer.

Pallbearers will be:  Aaron Brassfield, David Ferguson, Seth Gordon, Ryan Brassfield, Lucas Davis, Jonathan Gore

Memorial contributions may be made the First Christian Church in care of the Waters Funeral Home.

My last aunt and oh how sad to loose her. One thing that for certain is I know where she will be spending eternity and oh what glory that is to know. Always such a dear loving Aunt! Always a sweet smile on her face, One of my favorite memories is climbing on her kitchen cupboard along with Roger Lee to get the sugar so she could make us bread and butter sandwiches. As tears roll down our eyes but yet a smile on our face as we remember the times weve had with her,
