Friday, September 13, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia.
Service:

Friday, September 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel.
Officiating will be: Rev. Mark Phelps.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: R. T. Momphard, John Warner, Richard Penn, Rusty Strother, John Lewis and Mark Penn.

Peter Dee "PD" Gordon Jr. passed away at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at the Country View Nursing Facility in Bowling Green, Missouri. Pete grew up in the Cyrene and Bowling Green areas. He was a 1956 graduate of Bowling Green High School and member of the Christian Church. In 1959 he married Louise Penn and they moved to Vandalia in 1962. Pete worked at the Elder Garment Factory and then at Bobby Brooks before starting at Harbison Walker Refractories. He worked in the plastics shop mainly and retired in 2005 after over 43 years of service. Pete enjoyed fishing and coon hunting in his younger years. He and Louise enjoyed traveling, camping and hiking.

Born: September 16, 1938 in Curryville, Missouri the son of Peter Dee and Roma Lily (Cox) Gordon Sr.

Married: J. Louise Penn in Vandalia on May 21, 1959.

Survivors include: wife, Louise of Vandalia; three sons: Randall B. and wife, Mary Ann Gordon of Lubbock, Texas; Ricky K. Gordon of Boonville, Missouri; Darren R. and wife, Anita Gordon of Winfield, Missouri; one sister, Anna Ruth Lewis of Frankford, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Katie Gordon of Austin, Texas; Peter D. Gordon of Lubbock; John Gordon of Austin; Timothy Gordon of Waco; Matthew Gordon and Ashley Gordon both of St. Joseph; Sarah Gordon and Seth Gordon both of Winfield; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents.

Memorials are encouraged to the American Cancer Society.
