Service:

Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel.
Officiating will be: Rev. Jerry Gamm.
Music provided by: LaRae Capstick - soloist.
Interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, Missouri.
Pallbearers: Darrell Rutherford, Joseph Rutherford, Dennis Rutherford, Travis Cunningham, Matthew Nobbe and Gary Rutherford. Honorary pallbearers: Mark Nobbe, Mike McClanahan, Steven Bailey, Fred Flagg and Charles Bartison.

Perry Don "Donnie" Rutherford passed away unexpectedly at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. Donnie grew up in Middletown, Missouri and graduated in 1979 from Bowling Green High School. Following graduation he moved to Fairfield, Illinois and was involved with harness racing. He proudly served his country with the U. S. Army in the logistics field doing tours in Germany, Kuwait and Norway. After serving in the military, he moved to Ohio and expanded his logistic experience working in the trucking industry before returning to Missouri to be closer to his family.

Born: April 7, 1961 in Kirkwood, Missouri the son of Lowell Dean and Peggy Shirlene (Dixon) Rutherford.

Married: Candice Lynn Cunningham on October 23, 2012 in Louisiana, Missouri.

Survivors include: parents, Dean and Peggy Rutherford of rural Middletown; wife, Candice of rural Middletown; mother and father-in-law, Bob and Teresa Cunningham of rural Middletown; an unborn child that is due in March; two step-daughters: Ashley Jane Marie and Addison Jean Ann both of rural Middletown; three brothers: Darrell Dean Rutherford of Boonville; Joseph Nathaniel and wife, Christine Rutherford of Middletown; Dennis Edward "Beaver" and wife, Stacy Rutherford of Bowling Green, Missouri; two sisters: Lisa Shirlene and husband, Mike McClanahan of Chesapeake, Virginia and LaDonna Jean and husband, Mark Nobbe of Houston, Texas; he is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: grandparents.

Memorials are encouraged to the family for a fund to be setup for the children.
