Interment of his cremains will take place at a later date.
Pallbearers: Robert J. Hartsell, Joseph D. Hartsell, Jermaine S. Davis, Geriod A. Davis, Terry W. Mobbs and Larry G. Mobbs.

Norman Daryl Hartsell passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009 after an extended illness at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri. He was a 1967 graduate of Pattonville, Missouri High School and moved to the Vandalia area in 1990 from New Florence. For many years after school, he drove a truck for Wheaton Moving Company and Frye-Wagoner Moving Company. He enjoyed visiting with friends on the CB radio and he also enjoyed watching television and spending time with his children.

Born: September 16, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Wilbur Stanley and Florence Obetta (Thomas) Hartsell who survive in Vandalia.

Married: Keyna Alexis Cockrell on December 18, 1992 in Vandalia; she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Keyna of Vandalia; seven sons: Robert J. Hartsell of Warrenton, Missouri; Joseph D. Hartsell of Collinsville, Illinois; Kambrin "Bubba" Hartsell of Vandalia; Jermaine S. Davis and Geriod A. Davis both of Vandalia; Terry W. Mobbs and Larry G. Mobbs both of Cahokia, Illinois; four daughters: Jennifer A. Hartsell of Cahokia; Amanda J. Hartsell of St. Louis; Kambrie "Sissy" Hartsell of Vandalia and Whittney R. Davis of Columbia; two brothers: Fred Hartsell of Hazelwood, Missouri and Wilbur Hartsell of Montgomery City, Missouri; four sisters: Frances Hartsell of Silex, Missouri; Charlene Yakes of Port Huron, Michigan; Dorothy Cochran of Lawton, Oklahoma and Mary Bufford of Louisiana, Missouri; also survived by 12 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the family in care of Waters Funeral Chapel, P O Box 84, Vandalia, Missouri 63382-0084.
