Service:

Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Officiating will be: Bishop Randy Stevens and Brother Chris Herring.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment of her cremains will take place at a later date.
Pallbearers: John Dennis Newland, Chris Newland, Bill Fletcher, Brittany Wilson, Thomas Hooks, J. L. Newland, Elvis Gilmore, Charlie Nevels, Noah Mackey, Andrew Nilsson, Andrew Farmer and Daniel Gaston.

Sharron Rose (Fletcher) Newland passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She grew up and attended schools in Cedar City. Sharron graduated from Lynn Technical School and a faithful member to her church. She was a very hard worker and had been employed at The Spot Café, a cook at the Fulton State Hospital, Gaspers Truck Stop, Fulton Shoe Factory, a bus driver for North Callaway Schools and the dietary supervisor at the Presbyterian Manor in Fulton. Sharron had many interests among which were quilting, traveling, reading, embroidery, flowers, having a vegetable garden, her little dogs, but most of all she loved her family. She was never more happy that when she was with them.

Born: December 17, 1942 in Cedar City, Missouri the daughter of Bryan and Faye LeDean (Lister) Fletcher.

Married: Dennis Newland in 1959 and then married Donald Newland in 1970.

Survivors include: her children, Etta Farmer of Fulton; John Dennis Newland of Vandalia; Eddie (Sharon) Newland of Fulton; Jessica (Thomas) Hooks of Auxvasse; Chris (Daniel) Newland of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren: James, Andrew and Kristen Farmer; Kaitlyn Newland; Donnie and Denver Newland; Chassity (Charlie) Nevels; Brittany and Meaghan Wilson; great-grandchildren: Charlsie, Arzella, Thayne and Jesse Nevels; one sister, Lucille Christopher of Fulton; brothers: Bill (Rosemary) Fletcher of Fayette and Alex Fletcher of Jefferson City; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; three sisters: Dorothy Gilmore, Jean Huffman and Fay Daly; one grandson, Eric Wilson and one great-granddaughter, Shelby Nevels.
