Service:

Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, Vandalia.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: selected favorite songs.
Interment will be in the Lick Creek Cemetery near Perry, Missouri.
Pallbearers: Monte Moss, Joe Graves, Raymond McDonald, Jim Graves, Dale Graves and Ryan Hinton.

Mildred Elizabeth (Meranda) Graves passed away at 10:35 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2012 at The Villages of St. Peters in St. Peters, Missouri. Mildred was raised and attended schools in the rural Perry area. After her marriage to Ralph, they moved to the Vandalia area and have been here since 1952. Mildred worked a short time outside the home, but was always working around the house keeping it clean and spotless or outside mowing taking care of the lawn.

Born: March 15, 1932 in rural Perry, Missouri the daughter of Clarence D. and Alpha (O'Haver) Meranda.

Married: Ralph Lee Graves on January 15, 1950 in Hannibal, Missouri; he preceded her in death on May 1, 2008.

Survivors include: three daughters, Joan and husband, Roger James of St. Charles, Missouri; June and husband, Chuck Alvey of Goran, Missouri and Judy Hayes of Brashear, Missouri; one sister, Mary Hammett of St. Charles; four grandchildren: April and husband, Bob Biehl of Wentzville, Missouri; Rachel and husband, Dale Hinton of Cottleville, Missouri; Rob and wife, Stephanie Murrell of Kirksville, Missouri and Harley Hayes of Brashear; seven great-grandchildren: Zachary and Haley Hinton, Damien and Dalton Biehl, Emily, Austin and Landon Murrell; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Ralph; two brothers, Clarence Meranda and Joe Meranda; one sister, Alice Fuhrman.

Memorials are encouraged to the American Cancer Society.
