Interment of her cremains will be in the Vandalia Cemetery at a later date.

Mary Elsie (Jones) Hechler McCollum passed away at 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, April 4, 2007 at the Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal, Missouri.

Born: August 12, 1912 near Holiday/Paris, Missouri, the daughter of Robert B. and Vessie (Sebastian) Jones.

Married: William H. Hechler on November 17, 1928 in New London, Missouri; he passed away on May 1, 1974; she then married Claude McCollum in October 1977; he passed away in October 2003.

Survivors include: one son, Roy E. and wife, Shirley Heckler of Mesa, Arizona; one daughter-in-law, Lula Hechler of Vandalia, Missouri; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Preceded in death by: parents; one son, Billy Bob Heckler, three brothers and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the donor's choice.
