Friday, April 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Vandalia, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Jeffrey Mims.
Music provided by: church choir and Delores Smith, soloist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.

Mary Belle Leonard passed away at 6:05 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri.

Born: March 27, 1898 in rural Lincoln County, Missouri the daughter of Lorenzo and Alice (Pruitt) Carter.

Married: Clemon Parsons who preceded her in death; she then married Roy Leonard, who also preceded her in death in 1981.

Survivors include: one son, Mython and wife, Gloria Parsons of Battle Creek, Michigan; one daughter, Alcena and husband, William Givens of Vandalia; one foster daughter, whom she raised, Mrs. Andre (Anne) Bohannon of East Peoria, Illinois; a foster granddaughter, whom she raised, Mrs. Teresa Osborne of East Peoria, Illinois; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Carter Sr. of Springfield, Illinois and a host of nephews and nieces.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, four sisters, two granddaughters and one great-grandson.
