Mary Melissa Franke passed away at 4:03 p.m., Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri.

Born: June 3, 1911 near Gazette, Missouri the daughter of John Carson and Elsie Mae (Brown) Gillespie.

Married: George H. Franke in Galesburg, Illinois on October 16, 1931; he preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Edward E. and wife, Sandra Franke of Frankford, Missouri; one daughter, Janet G. Hubbard of Canyon Lake, Texas, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: one son, Carl Carson Franke; two brothers, John J. Gillespie Jr. and Reid S. Gillespie; two sisters, Nora Ann Fuller and Fern F. Fowles.

Memorials may be made to Central Union Methodist Church.
