Margie Ruth (Hartung) Wyble passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 4:50 p.m. at the Hannibal Regional Hospital. Margie was a life-long Vandalia area resident and a 1940 graduate of Vandalia High School. After high school, Margie worked at the Ely Walker Garment Factory, Bobbi Brooks Garment Factory and International Shoe Company. She then became a full time homemaker and was active in the First Christian Church where she had been a long time member. For many years Margie decorated her home at Christmas with many ornate and decorated Christmas trees all over the house. Margie then opened her home to all visitors that would stop by during both day and night to marvel at all the Christmas decorations.

Born: January 4, 1922 in Vandalia the daughter of Chris August and Frances Louise (Jewell) Hartung.

Married: Ernst William "Bill" Wyble in Vandalia on April 12, 1941. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1982.

Survivors include: one son, Ernst Eugene "Tooter" and wife, Ruth Ann Wyble of Davenport, Iowa; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Bill and three brothers: Clayton Hartung, Reginald Hartung and Vernon Hartung.

Memorials are encouraged to the Tri-County Care Center.
