Service:

Friday, February 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: Sharon Hoehn, pianist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Steve Breneman, Chris Breneman, Michael Nation, Rick Nation, Kyle Alvis and Mark Hicks. Honorary pallbearers are: Billy Ray Nation, Stanley James, Alan James, Marty Nation, Larry Nation, Don Nation, Harold McAfee and Bill Hicks.

Margery Frances (McAfee) Nation passed away at 2:03 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2005 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. She was a lifelong Vandalia area resident and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Vandalia. Besides being a full time homemaker, she worked as a salesclerk at the Mo. Brokerage Store and P N Hirsch stores in Vandalia. Margery enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Born: October 15, 1912 in Palmyra, Missouri the daughter of John Cooper and Bessie C. (Baxter) McAfee.

Married: Edward Granville Nation on December 24, 1935 in Vandalia; he preceded her in death on May 23, 1990.

Survivors include: one daughter, Marilyn W. and husband, Jerry Breneman of Vandalia; four grandchildren, Steve and wife, Cathy Breneman of Vandalia; Chris and wife, Maureen Breneman of Lake Ozark, Missouri; Theresa Abbott of Garden City, Missouri; Michael and wife, Tammy Nation of Olathe, Kansas; nine great-grandchildren, Kayla, Connor and Morgan Breneman; Kyle Alvis; Eric and Bradley Abbott; Andrew, Caitlyn and Christopher Nation; one great-great-grandson, Logan Alvis and one daughter-in-law, Dora E. Nation of Garden City, Missouri.

Preceded in death by: one son, Jackie Dean Nation; two brothers, Melvin McAfee who died in infancy and Murray McAfee; two great-grandchildren, Alicia Breneman and Ryan Abbott.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
