Service:

Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street in Vandalia 63382.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: Shirley Forgy - pianist; Connie Strother - soloist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Brandon Wright, Bobby Hunn, Gary Fowler, Kenny Brewer and Dwayne Norton.

LoAnna F. (Nutgrass) Wright passed away at 11:25 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. She was a lifelong Vandalia area resident. LoAnna was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church where she felt the call to serve her Savior, Jesus Christ by volunteering in many activities. She attended Vandalia schools and was a 1938 Vandalia High School graduate. LoAnna had worked a few years at the Ely Walker and Bobby Brooks Garment Factories in Vandalia. She had been a full-time homemaker on the family's farm southeast of Vandalia. In years past, LoAnna had been an active volunteer in many church activities. She enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, her horses, quilting, playing cards with country neighbors and spending time with her family.

Born: August 13, 1920 in rural Vandalia the daughter of Rollie Edgar and Cora Lee (Livers) Nutgrass.

Married: Harve Edward Wright, he preceded her in death on April 18, 1989.

Survivors include: one son, Jeff H. and wife, Vicki Wright of rural Vandalia; one daughter, A. Kay and husband, Mike Elders of rural Curryville; four grandchildren: Brandon and wife, Toni Wright of rural Vandalia; Chris and husband, Dwayne Norton of Troy, Missouri; Amanda Wright of rural Vandalia; Melissa Wright of Jefferson City, Missouri; also survived by six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: husband, Harve; three sisters: Vera Guthrie, Edith Swan and Willie Fike.

Memorials are encouraged to the Missouri Baptist Children's Home or to the Community Loving Care Hospice.
