Leo Thomas "Tom" Chesebrough passed away unexpectedly at 3:19 p.m. on Thursday, December15, 2016 at his home in Vandalia. Tom grew up and attended schools in the Hazelwood area of St. Louis. He began working for the Lutheran Senior Services in St. Louis and became their maintenance supervisor. Tom later worked as the maintenance supervisor for several years for Union Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, repairing bicycles and watching football.

Born: December 20, 1960 in St. Charles the son of Leo Joseph and Bernice Ellen (Jones) Chesebrough.

Married: Barbara Ann Heady in St. Charles on December 14, 1979; she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Barbara of Vandalia; one son: Thomas J. and wife, Ashlea Chesebrough of St. Charles; one daughter: Tenille D. and husband, Tim Finders of Wentzville; one brother: Carl Giaraffa of San Francisco; one sister: Mary JoAnn Stolle of St. Charles; five grandchildren: Taylor Chesebrough, Dakota Finders, Madalyn Finders, Julian Chesebrough and Haiden Chesebrough; one great-granddaughter, Sophia Jade Henrich; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; one grandson, Thomas Trey Chesebrough.

Memorials are encouraged to the donor's choice.
