Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street in Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Service:

Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church south of Vandalia, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: Martha Jane Pease.
Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Randy Pease, Darwyn Pease, Larry Pease, Leon Pease, Gary Pease and Bruce Pease. Honorary pallbearers: Dustin Pease, George Pease and Kenneth McDonald.

Leland Tallmadge Pease passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. Tallmadge was a lifelong Vandalia area resident and grew up on the family farm southeast of Vandalia. He attended Pleasant Plains schools and farmed with his family all his life. Tallmadge was a member of the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church since 1928 and enjoyed his pipe and cigars.

Born: January 28, 1912 in rural Audrain County, Missouri the son of Ira Leland and Mabel Isabelle Tallmadge (Kelly) Pease.

Married:

Survivors include: two brothers: LeRoy Pease of Mexico, Missouri and W. Wayne Pease of Vandalia, Missouri; five sisters: Viola M. Maskey of Mexico; Sarah Leota Craghead of Springfield, Missouri; Sue M. and husband, Earl Wayne Henderson of Vandalia; Mildred I. Morris of Pilot Point, Texas and Dorothy M. Emo of Cedarville, Illinois; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; two brothers: Clifford Pease and Melvin Pease; two sisters: Evelyn F. Grover and Julia Mae Pease, who died in infancy.

Memorials are encouraged to the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
