Friday, October 18, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia.
Service:

Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: Wayne Lynn & Roy Lynn - duet.
Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Michael Potterfield, Matthew Hobbs, George Street, Donnie Street, Carl Dry and Jerry Northcutt. Honorary pallbearers: Christopher Couch and Leslie Minor.

Kathleen Louise Buffington passed away unexpectedly at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana, Missouri. She was a longtime rural Middletown resident and member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church. Kathleen had helped Lloyd on the family's farm near Middletown and enjoyed fishing and cutting the grass and other outside yard work.

Born: October 26, 1931 near Bradley, Illinois the daughter of Charles R. and Gladys (Jones) Duncan.

Married: Glen Davidson on February 12, 1950; he preceded her in death in 1952; she then married Lloyd M. Buffington on December 1, 1957.

Survivors include: husband, Lloyd of Bowling Green; four daughters: Barbara Lake of Hannibal, Missouri; Janette Porter of Stoutsville, Missouri; Marlene Fischer of rural Vandalia, Missouri; Kathleen Reading of rural Middletown, Missouri; also survived by 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; an infant son, Marvin Ray Buffington; two brothers and five sisters.

Memorials are encouraged to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
