Sunday, October 5, 2003 from 1 p.m. until service time at the First Baptist Church in Vandalia.
Service:

Sunday, October 5, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Vandalia.
Officiating will be: Rev. William Givens and Rev. William Butler Jr.
Music provided by: Clarice Cannon, pianist and the choir from the Second Baptist Church.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Samuel Lee, Fred Thompson, Donnell Perkins, Tony Overton, Art Wiser and Ronnie Greene. Honorary Pallbearers were Terry Holt, Marlon Davis, Lewis Connors and William Wheeler.

Leona Julia Davis died at 11:59 p.m., Wednesday October 1, 2003 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. She had been a homemaker all her adult life and had been a resident of Vandalia for 56 years. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Vandalia; a member of the Playcare Center Board; a member of the Mt. Carmel District Association and a charter member of the Modern Maturity Senior Citizen Center in Vandalia.

Born: January 16, 1920 in Paynesville, Missouri to Robert Kabler and Elsie Lee Hammuck Cannon.

Married: C. Johnson Davis on December 6, 1947; he preceded her in death on July 30, 1991.

Survivors include: one son, Cli and wife Nancy Davis of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband and parents.
