Officiating: Rev. Jeffrey Mims.
Music: Soloists: Halley Davis and Scott Long.
Interment: the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Scott Long, lance Wheeler, Larry Baird, Thomas Spradling, Donnell Perkins and Joe Long. Honorary pallbearers: Roger Chatman, Sam Chatman, Gary Bishop and Damon Long.

Joyce Eileen Connor, age 65, passed away unexpectedly at 3:55p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016 at her home in Vandalia.She lived most of her early life in the High Hill area. Joyce moved to Vandalia with her family in 1966 and was a 1971 Van-Far High School graduate. After school, she worked for over 30 years as a seamstress for Cal-Jac, Bobbie Brooks, Leggoons/HTI and Serf Brothers in Vandalia. Joyce was a long time and active member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Vandalia. Her church activities included singing in the choir, being an usher and serving on the mission board. Joyce enjoyed playing Bingo, sewing and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Born: November20, 1950 in High Hill, Missouri the daughter of Theodore Jeanit and Mary Ruth (Wilson) Connor.

Married:

Survivors include: two sons: Theodore James Connor and Peggy Hiatte of Mexico, Missouri and Leonard DeCarlo Connor of Vandalia; three brothers: James Connor, Louis and wife, Wanda Connor all of Vandalia; Vincent Connor of Thorpe, Wisconsin; four sisters: Geneva and husband, Harold Ferguson; Violet and husband, Samuel Lee; Shirley Connor Pearl all of Vandalia; Mary S. Wilson of Edmond, Oklahoma; also survived by three grandchildren: Keyari Lewis; James Connor and Arianna Connor.

Preceded in death by: parents, grandparents, one brother, Paul Connor; two sisters: Lucy Connor and Ruth Johnson; three nieces and one nephew: Sharon Connor, Alexis Long, LaTamara Hammers and Gregory Connor.

Memorials are encouraged to the Second Missionary Baptist Church, Vandalia.
