Jennifer Lynn Day, age 48, of Vandalia, MO, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at her home.

Jennifer was born on April 27, 1977, in Mexico, MO, the daughter of Fred J. and Irene Joy (Griffith) Day.

Jennifer was Baptist by faith. She had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. She also found joy in crafts, puzzles, and painting. Above all, Jennifer cherished time with her family and friends, especially her three children, who meant the world to her. She was overjoyed to become a grandmother and looked forward to making memories with her new grandbaby, Kaine Isaac Phillips.

She is survived by her three children: Madalyn Swafford of Vandalia; Jackson D. Cook of Jefferson City; Jaden D. Cook of Vandalia; her parents Fred and Irene Day of Vandalia; one sister, Jody Bauman (Matt) of Vandalia; one brother, Justin Day of St. Joe; her beloved grandson, Kaine Isaac Phillips; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jennifer was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John L. and Nelma Day; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Helen Griffith; one Brother, Keith Wade Day.

Arrangements are under the direction of Waters Funeral Home of Vandalia. The family will hold a celebration of life service at a later date.
