Monday, June 2, 2008 after 5:30 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, Vandalia, Missouri.
Officiating will be: relatives & friends sharing stories.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment of his cremains will take place at a later date.
Pallbearers:

James Franklin "Jim" Goodin passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Harry S. Truman V A Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was a lifelong Farber area resident and graduated from Farber High School in 1953. Jim joined the U. S. Navy in September 1954 and served aboard a submarine for two years during the Korean Conflict. Jim also completed ten years in the Naval Reserve. Most of his working career involved many positions at the North American Refractories Company in Farber. Jim retired in 1997 as the plant superintendent after over 42 years of service. In addition to his family and NARCO, Jim's passion was collecting Studebaker vehicles. He was a member of the Ozark Trails Studebaker Driver's Club and the Internation Studebaker Owner's Club. Jim was also an avid golfer.

Born: October 14, 1935 in Farber, Missouri the son of Harry Lewis and Daisy Etta (Romans) Goodin.

Married: Suzanne Branstetter on December 5, 1955 in Vandalia, Missouri; she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Suzanne of Farber; one son: Mark Anthony and wife, Margaret M. Goodin of Bowling Green, Missouri; one daughter: Jimi Michelle and husband, Bob H. Grote of Bowling Green, Missouri; four grandchildren: John Alexander Grote of Hannibal, Missouri; Andrew Samuel Grote of Bowling Green; Alicia Suzanne Grote of Bowling Green; Madison Elizabeth Goodin of Columbia, Missouri.

Preceded in death by: parents; one brother: Robert B. Goodin of Cape Girardeau; one sister: Katherine Elizabeth Teague of Mexico; a step-sister: Martha "Snooky" Goodin Browning; parents-in-law: Ralph S. and Ruby F. Branstetter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Farber Fire Department in care of Waters Funeral Chapel, P O Box 84, Vandalia, Missouri 63382-0084.
