There are so many fond memories of Uncle James... too numerous to count. Our family has lost one of the greatest examples of what a man should be.. a great father, grandfather, uncle and brother. I am sure there is great rejoicing in the great beyond as he reconnects with the love of his life, Aunt Ruthy, his son and daughters, his brothers and sisters, parents and so many that have gone before him. I lift up each of you, my cousins and your families, and you, Aunt Judy, for peace that passes all understanding and joy unspeakable for I know that he is having a great celebration... singing and rejoicing with those he loved! We shall all join him some day!!

To the family of James Day, our thoughts and prayers are with you.We pray that God puts his loving arms around all of you and gives you comfort. We know James will be missed by his family and friends. When I would go to James and Ruth's home to visit my friend Doris I wouldalways hear them singing and playing the guitar in the other room. It always made me smile. He will join her now and they will be singing again. Hugs to all of you in your time of sorrow. God Bless

Jim was a wonderful family man. I grew up with Doris and was around Jim and Ruthie. They were like my
second Mom and Dad. We used to all sit around and they would play their guitars and sing. In fact, I think I ate more at their house than I did mine. I had many fond memories of Jim and Ruthie. My heartfelt sympathies go out to the Day family.

It is because of Uncle James that I became reconnected with my Day relatives. He came to Sam's to buy tires and I was working the desk. I didn't know who he was but when I saw his name was Day; I ask if he was related to the Days from Mexico. He said, Why do you ask? So I told him my mothers maiden name was Day. He then ask my name and when I responded Dennis Barton; he said, well Dennis I'm your Uncle James. He proceeded to tell me of the upcoming Day reunion and invited me to come. From that point on I met a lot of relatives. Some I met online later. Uncle James will be greatly missed. Love to you all.
