Friday, February 4, 2005 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Vandalia, Missouri.
Service:

Friday, February 4, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Vandalia, Missouri with Waters Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Officiating will be: Pastor Kenneth Schamber.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment of the cremains will be at a later date.

James "Jim" S. Clausen passed away unexpectedly at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. Jim graduated in the 1951 class from Bowling Green High School and went on to get his four year degree from Northeast Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville, Missouri (now known as Truman State University). He served in the U. S. Army and then went to work at CE Refractories in Farber for a few years. Jim then became a custodian for the Van-Far High School and Elementary School in March 1976 and retiring in June 1997. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting and watching the stock markets.

Born: August 1, 1934 in Decatur, Illinois the son of Stanley James and Leah Alice (Farmer) Clausen.

Married: Ethel Ruth Cheney in Farber on September 2, 1972; she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Ethel Ruth of Farber, two sons, Eric C. Clausen of Mexico, Missouri and Todd A. and wife, Sophia Clausen of Liberty, Missouri; one sister, Janet and husband, Marion Wendel of New Hartford, Missouri; three grandchildren, William A. Clausen, Alice E. Clausen and Regina R. Clausen.

Preceded in death by: parents.
