Jacqueline "Jackie" Elaine (Shelton) Bryant passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Evelyn's House in St. Louis.She attended Lincoln Elementary School and Van-Far High School. After raising her family, Jackie began working in the childcare industry, providing much needed love and support to the children of parents working at the U.S.Government Building in St. Louis. She worked there for more than 15 years while obtaining her Associates Degree in child psychology. Jackie was a hard, dedicated, and strong-willed worker, and she raised her children to be the same way. She was proud of her children and bragged about them to friends often. Jackie was an avid reader, an artist, she loved plants and flowers, and in her later years enjoyed traveling.

Born: October 31, 1943 in St. Charles, Missouri, the daughter of Maudie Mary Cropp and William Shelton.

Married: Wesley Jackson Bryant, Jr. on August 29, 1960; he preceded her in death on January 10, 2002.

Survivors include: five daughters: Robyn L. Gibson (Maurice Gibson); Merri E. Bryant; Tatia N. Bryant; Whitney R. Bryant (Floyd Edward Eaton II) and Heather C. Berry (Kevin Berry - deceased). Grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Maurice I. Gibson (Malachi I. Gibson, Jaylen Gibson, Jayce Gibson); Elmise Elou Telsaint Bryant, Torrey N. Bland (T'Aaliyah J. Bland); Amber L. Gibson; Sir Ron Jose Primus II; Hunter C. Bryant; Wesley Jackson Bryant III; Sasha L. Berry; Marlon D. Echols; Erin J. Stroud and Myles C. Petty; brothers: Raymond Ellis Cropp (Maggie Cropp); Ronald Shelton (Yvonne Shelton); Lewis Shelton and Charles Shelton (Jeannie Shelton); sisters-in-law: Ethel Tinder, Laura Williams and Joyce Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Preceded in death by: parents; sisters: Stella Wray; Bessie Holman; Florine Dixon, Anna Margaret Burks (sister-in-law); Helen Josephine Fowler (sister-in-law); brother, Wilford Moore.
