Iva Joyice Mullinix

Iva Joyice Mullinix, age 74, of Mexico, MO formally of Vandalia, passed away at 12:03 am Friday, February 7, 2020, at Audrain Medical Center.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Waters Funeral Home. Pastor Glenn Forman will officiate. Burial will be at the Johnson Cemetery in New Cambria, MO following the service.

Visitation celebrating the life of Joyice Mullinix will be held at 10:00 am until the time of service Wednesday February 12, 2020 at the Waters Funeral Home.

Joyice was born on May 21, 1945, in Mexico, MO the daughter of William and Iva (Meteer) White.

She was united in marriage to Howard LeRoy Mullinix on June 16, 1990 in Bevier, MO. Howard preceded her in death on June 28, 2002.

Survivors include her three brothers, Billy Joe White of Vandalia, MO, Kenneth (Leona) White of Bowling Green, MO and Charles (Mary Jane) White of New London, MO; three sisters, Linda (Earl) Traynor of Centralia, MO, Sue (Roger) Carroll of Booneville, MO and Janice Sloan of Conway, SC; one mother-in-law, Maxine Mullinix of Tiption, MO; brother-in-law, Mike Mullinix of Tiption, MO; special friend, Jim Schwintz of Vandalia, Mo and many other loved family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard LeRoy Mullinix; parents, William and Iva White; and two brothers, Carl Wayne White and Dennis Ray White.

Joyice worked for Tri-County Nursing Home and was a member of First Christian Church in Vandalia, MO.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and doing embroidery. Joyice loved being outdoors and could often be found hunting and fishing with her husband. She also enjoyed spending time babysitting and loved children.

Pallbearers will be Donald Christian, Brayden Christian, Bobby Christian, Earl Traynor, Jamie Carroll and John Maier.
