Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Service:

Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street, Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Officiating will be: Rev. Dr. Roger Thomas.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Danny DeTienne, George Hannaford, Lee Olebeare, Marvin Yager, Donnie Ingram and Tim Kurz.

Helen B. Stinnett passed away at 7:48 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at her home in Vandalia. Helen was a 1952 Vandalia High School graduate and after high school she joined the W.A.A.C. for two years. She and Jack Stinnett were married in 1954 and she was a full time home maker until 1992 when she started Helen's Cafe at the east edge of Vandalia. She sold the cafe in 1994 and worked at Countryside Manor from 1994 until her retirement in 2006. Helen was a member of the Curryville Presbyterian Church but has been attending the First Christian Church of Vandalia.

Born: October 22, 1933 in the rural Buell/Bellflower area to Ralph Daniel and Erna Lucille (Young) Smith Sr.

Married: Jack Patton Stinnett on October 17, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri; he preceded her in death on November 29, 2002.

Survivors include: her mother, Erna Smith of Bowling Green, Missouri; five sons: Terry L. and wife, Colleen Stinnett of Vandalia; Scott P. and wife, Roberta Stinnett of Mexico, Missouri; Patrick D. "Bo" and wife, Gayla Stinnett of Curryville, Missouri; Archie W. Stinnett of Orlando, Florida; Richard G. Stinnett of Vandalia; four daughters: Sue and husband, Tom Johnson of Maryville, Tennessee; Deborah L. Stinnett of Vandalia; Jane E. Hannaford of Vandalia; Lisa D. and husband, Evan Case of Vandalia; one brother, Ralph D. Smith Jr. of Vandalia; two sisters, Patsy Lynn and Betty Bontz both of Vandalia; 11 grandchildren: Alicia, Jared, Candy, Shelia, Joshua, Rachel, Dakota, Ethan, Kristen, Brett and Corbin. Helen was looking forward to another grandbaby that is due in late October; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: father, one sister, Donna J. Darnell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the East End Miracle Walkers Relay for Life Team.
