Service:

Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel.
Officiating will be: Rev. Richard Mayson and Rev. David Nash.
Music provided by: Clarice Cannon - pianist.
Interment will take place at a later date.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Fowler, Kevin Brown, Tim Davis, Clifton Long, Donnell Perkins and Roger Chatman.

Helen J. (Bryant) Fowler passed away unexpectedly at 8:41 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. Helen grew up and attended schools in Vandalia. She worked for many years as a supervisor at both Harbison Walker Refractories in Vandalia and A. P. Green Refractories in Mexico. Helen and Harry had lived in Mexico for the past 23 years and were active in the community. Helen was a member of the Tyus Chapel Methodist Church in Vandalia and enjoyed sewing and working crossword puzzles.

Born: November 20, 1946 in Vandalia, Missouri the daughter of Wesley Jackson and Flossie Marie (Bonham) Bryant Sr.

Married: Harry E. Fowler on January 25, 1964.

Survivors include: husband, Harry; one son, Jason Fowler and one daughter, Kimberly Long, all of Mexico; three sisters: Joyce Jackson of Mexico; Ethel Tinder of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; Laura Williams of University Park, Illinois; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: parents; one brother, Wesley Bryant Jr. and one sister, Anna Margaret Burks.

Memorials are encouraged to the St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
