Friday, July 6, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Service:

Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street in Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Officiating will be: Rev. Derek Grigg.
Music provided by: Shirley Forgy - pianist; Derek Grigg - soloist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Michael Geerlings, Kevin Gore, Ryan Fitzgerald, Aaron Fitzgerald, Christopher Fender, Ben Conrad and Josh Sebolt.

Geraldine Goldie (Thompson) Gore passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. Geraldine was a lifelong Vandalia area resident and attended area schools. After getting married, she was a homemaker and worked some at the Ely Walker Garment Factory in Vandalia. Geraldine drove a school bus for the Van-Far School District for over 30 years, retiring in the mid-1980's. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vandalia and enjoyed sewing, gardening, antique collecting, all types of crafts and going square dancing with her husband.

Born: May 22, 1919 in rural Vandalia, Missouri the daughter of George F. and Ver Marie (Sulgrove) Thompson.

Married: Willis Edward Gore on August 21, 1936 in Perry, Missouri; he preceded her in death on March 28, 2001.

Survivors include: one son, Larry W. and wife, Susan Gore of Lee's Summit, Missouri; two daughters, Sharon M. and husband, Gred Geerlings of Vandalia and Janelle K. and husband, Mike Fitzgerald of Lake Winnebago, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Pat Gore of Quincy, Illinois; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: husband, Willis; one son: Gary E. Gore; two brothers, Marvin Thompson and George Thompson Jr. and one sister, Marguerite Freels.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the East End Miracle Walkers Relay for Life Team or to the First Baptist Church in Vandalia.
