Monday, May 6, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia.
Service:

Monday, May 6, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel.
Officiating will be: Rev. Adam Finney.
Music provided by: selected favorite songs.
Interment of his cremains will be in the Vandalia Cemetery at a later date.
Pallbearers:

Gerald Eugene Livingston passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Golden Living Center - Pin Oaks in Mexico, Missouri. He attended area schools and was a 1950 Vandalia High School graduate. Gerald then attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and graduated in 1954 with a bachelor of science degree. He served two years in the U. S. Air Force as the Personnel Officer for the Headquarters Squadron of the 366th Fighter Bomber Wing at England Air Force Base in Alexandria, Louisiana. After his service, he worked for a trucking company in Caseyville, Illinois and then an insurance company in Collinsville, Illinois. Gerald then worked for five years as the operations manager for the trucking division at Wetterau Foods. He then started St. Louis Trailer Sales and Leasing company, which he owned and managed for nearly 15 years. During much of this time, Gerald farmed near Vandalia and then continued farming until he retired, around late 1999. He attended the Lutheran Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and watching Mizzou basketball and football.

Born: November 6, 1932 in rural Pike County, east of Vandalia the son of Gerald Dean and Oma D'Arline (Cook) Livingston.

Married: Carolyn J. Neal in Columbia, Missouri on February 18, 1955.

Survivors include: two sons, Christopher J. Livingston of rural Vandalia; Gregory J. and wife, Brenda Livingston of Chesterfield, Missouri; one daughter, Candace L. and husband, Daniel Briggs of Carmel, Indiana; four granddaughters: Alexandra C. Briggs, Anastasia D. Briggs, Alexix L. Livingston and Aleah G. Livingston.

Preceded in death by: parents.
