Officiating: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music: Wayne Lynn - soloist.
Interment: Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vandalia.
Pallbearers: Ronnie J. Waters, Travis Waters, Terry Waters, Russell Smith, Eric Gunn and Raymond Kirtlink.

Geneva Ruth (Kirtlink) Waters passed away at 8:25 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. She was a lifelong Vandalia area resident and a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Vandalia. Geneva attended area schools and worked for a short time at the Bobbi Brooks Garment Factory in Vandalia.
She spent the better part of her married years on the family farm west of Vandalia. Geneva enjoyed traveling, her garden and flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

Born: November 25, 1925 in rural Ralls County, Missouri the daughter of Grover Cleveland and Bessie Jane (Lake) Kirtlink.

Married: Woodrow Wilson Waters; he preceded her in death on April 12, 2009.

Survivors include: two sons, Bobbie R. and wife, Diane Waters of rural Curryville, and Ronnie D. and wife, Linda M. Waters of rural Vandalia; six grandchildren: Chris Waters of Woodward, Oklahoma; Christine and Russell Smith of Center, Missouri; Ronnie Joe Waters of Jefferson City, Missouri; Kathy A. and Eric Gunn of Hannibal, Missouri; Travis and April Waters of Greenville, Illinois and Terry and Crystal Waters of Vandalia; 12 great-grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: three brothers: Kenneth D. Kirtlink, Reavis Kirtlink and Sam Kirtlink; three sisters: Nina Bess Matthews, Margaret Inlow and Edith Dowell.

Memorials are encouraged to the Southside Baptist Church in Vandalia.
