Service:

Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: Joy Davis, pianist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Rick Schlueter, Richie Schlueter, David Sanders, Steve Perret, Tony Teague and Charles Bartison. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Nation, Cecil Krigbaum, Louis and Ruth Schulze, Ray and Wanda Werner, Eddie Cafer, James and Norma Daniels.

Geneva Lula (Spires) Parsons passed away at 8:20 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2004 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia, Missouri. Geneva was a lifelong area resident and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Vandalia. She was a graduate of Middletown High School and had worked as a factory worker for the Bobbie Brooks garment factory many years ago.

Born: July 30, 1916 north of Bellflower, Missouri the daughter of Hardin James and Josephine (Hamlett) Spires.

Married: William Emil Parsons on December 21, 1950 in Bowling Green, Missouri; he preceded her in death on November 3, 1993.

Survivors include: one sister, Dorothy Carpet of Jonesburg; special friends, Rick and Marilyn Schlueter of Vandalia.

Preceded in death by: seven brothers: Henry, Kay, Jewel, Orve, Hardin Jr., Ruben and Wesley Spires.
