Monday, March 1, 2010 a graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Vandalia Cemetery.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Balwanz.
Music provided by:
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers:

Gary Edward Fielder passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at his home in rural Vandalia, Missouri. Gary was a life-long Vandalia area resident and a Van-Far high school graduate. After school, he served in the U. S. Army for three years. Upon returning to the Vandalia area, he started working in the maintenance department at NARCO Refractories in Farber and continued there for 28 years. Gary's hobbies included working, fishing and hunting.

Born: March 1, 1948 in Mexico, Missouri the son of Dwight E. and Dorothy D. (Schultze) Fielder.

Married: Mary E. Harlow on October 16, 1982; she survives at the home.

Survivors include: mother, Dorothy of Vandalia; wife, Mary of rural Vandalia; two brothers: Sam and wife, Georgia Fielder of Columbia, Missouri; Larry and wife, Evelyn Fielder of Laddonia, Missouri; one sister, Rita Bence of Quincy, Illinois; four step-children: Boyd Laird of Farber, Missouri; Bill Laird of Vandalia; Mary Lou and husband, Roy Lynn of Vandalia; Toni Roberts of Warrenton, Missouri; 10 step-grandchildren and 21 step-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: father, Dwight E. Fielder.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Missouri Veterans Home, #1 Veterans Drive, Mexico, Missouri 65265 or to the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 1008 W. McPike, Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
