Frieda Ione (Morris) Brown passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 4:00 a.m. at the Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. Frieda was a life-long area resident and attended schools in New Hartford. She worked as a homemaker on the family farm and had worked for several of the restaurants in Vandalia. Frieda became a member of the Baptist church and also had been active in the local Daughters of Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and anything that needed done on the farm.

Born: November 27, 1921 in New Hartford the daughter of Senie and Florence (Elliot) Morris.

Married: Russell Lee Brown; he preceded her in death.

Survivors include: November 27, 1921 in New Hartford the daughter of Senie and Florence (Elliot) Morris.

Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Russell; one son, Michael Lee Brown; two brothers: Wayne Morris and Jack Morris; three sisters: Marie McDonald, Ethel Smith and Margie Johnson.

Memorials are encouraged to the Maple Grove Lodge in Louisiana.
