Felicity Goodpasture-Culwell passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the family's home south of Vandalia. She grew up in the rural Vandalia area and was a 1990 Van-Far High School graduate. Felicity graduated from the University of Missouri in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Ag Economics. She then began working for Culwell Farms and continued farming as her career. Felicity was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Vandalia where she served as an elder, deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and financial officer. She was also a member of the Suzannah Randolf Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; P.E.O.; the Vandalia YMCA Project Chairperson; Van-Far Athletic Boosters; Consolidated Electric Coop board member; Channel Seedsman; Vandalia Recreation Corporation, President; Playcare Treasurer and Abronne representative. Her hobbies included running, basketball, and supporting her children in all their sporting events.
Born: February 21, 1972 in Mexico, Missouri the daughter of Selby Eugene and Charlene Mary (Steffen) Goodpasture.
Married: Shannon Mayo Culwell Jr. in Vandalia on April 13, 1996.
Survivors include: husband, Shannon Jr. of rural Vandalia; two sons: Treyson Eugene Goodpasture Culwell, Reece Shannon Culwell; one daughter, Annalynn Goodpasture Culwell; mother, Charlene Goodpasture of rural Center; father and mother-in-law: Shannon Mayo and Linda (Gooch) Culwell Sr. of rural Vandalia; three sisters and their families: Emily Ann Davies (Darrin) Shelby, Dustin and Delaney of Dawn, Missouri; Leticia Ann Hulse (Ryan) Selby, Edward, Burt, Cecelia and Anna of Hannibal; Greta Ann Hopke (Justin) Garrett, Kate and Emma of rural Vandalia; sister and brother-in-law, Sheila (Culwell) Frost (Greg) son, Samuel Boyd Middleton of rural Vandalia; maternal grandmother, Catherine Lackner of Cuba, Missouri; also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Preceded in death by: father, Selby Eugene Goodpasture, in 1987.
