Officiating: Rev. Helen McFarland.
Music: selected favorite hymns.
Interment: Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Rick Kurz, Lisa Garvin, Tim Atchison, Brock Atchison, Kaycie Atchison and Randy Caldwell.

Eva Belle (Butts) Kurz passed away at 12:05 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. She grew up, attended schools and graduated from Vandalia High School in 1928. Eva Belle also attended and graduated from William Woods College. She was the senior member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church and had the longest membership. She was a full-time homemaker but was active in many activities outside the home. Eva Belle was an avid bridge player and was well known for her quality ceramic pieces.

Born: December 6, 1910 in Vandalia, Missouri the daughter of Charles Louis and Clara Josephine (Faust) Butts.

Married: Edward Orlow Kurz; he preceded her in death in 1980.

Survivors include: two sons: Charles E. Kurz of New Castle, Indiana and Louis A. Kurz; four grandchildren: Ricci Atchison, Rick Kurz, Julie Kurz and Jan VanBoening; four great-grandchildren: Brock Atchison, Kaycie Gatch, Jeremy Kurz and Abigail Moore and three great-great-grandchildren: Hannah Atchison, Persephone Gatch and Skye Kurz.

Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Orlow; one half-brother, Marlin Butts.
