Officiating will be: Rev. Dr. Roger Thomas.
Music provided by: Sharon Hoehn, pianist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Aaron Rentfro, Richard Rentfro, Tim Kurz, Charles Bartison, Donald Ray Morris and Wayne Lynn. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Keller, Bob Pabst, Gale Miller and Ed Parks.

Ernest R. Williamson Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Vandalia. He was found by neighbors at 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday evening, March 9, 2004. Ernest was a member of the First Christian Church in Vandalia. He moved to Vandalia with his wife, Edith A. (Beshears) Williamson in 1950. Ernest worked for the Railway Express Company in the parcel service part of the company from 1946 until 1950. He then worked for one year at the Chemalloy Foundry in Louisiana, Missouri. In October, 1952, Ernest started working in the machine shop at Harbison Walker Refractories in Vandalia and retired in September, 1983. Ernest served in the U. S. Army during World War II with the 6th Infantry Divsion in the South Pacific Theatre.

Born: May 20, 1919 in Louisiana, Missouri the son of John Everett and Nettie Lena (Stoddard) Williamson.

Married: Edith Alta Beshears on March 10, 1950; she preceded him in death on October 16, 2003.

Survivors include: one son, Ernest R. and wife Ursula Williamson Jr. of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Preceded in death by: parents and wife, Edith.
