Saturday, August 29, 2009 from noon until service time at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Service:

Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street in Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Officiating will be: Rev. Richard Smith.
Music provided by: Clarice Cannon - pianist; Delores Smith - soloist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Louis Connor, William Wheeler, Ronnie Greene, Anthony Chatman, Sam Chatman and Jeff Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers: James Wheeler, Cory Salmon, LaDon Salmon, Warren Salmon and Eric Salmon.

Edith Darlene (Bryant) Salmon passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at her home in Vandalia, Missouri. Edith had lived most of her life in Vandalia, coming here at an early age with her family from the Laddonia area. She was a long time member of the Second Christian Church where she had sang in the choir. Edith also enjoyed cooking and attending garage sales.

Born: October 12, 1923 in rural Laddonia, Missouri the daughter of William Blaine and Ethel (Jackson) Bryant.

Married:

Survivors include: four sons: John W. Salmon of Vandalia; Wm. Louis Salmon of Vandalia; Donnie I. Salmon of Arizona; Mike A. Salmon of Vandalia; one daughter: Connie D. and husband, Tommy Maddox; one sister: Elizabeth Shepherd of Vandalia; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by: parents; one son: Benjamin Joe Salmon; seven brothers: William Bryant, Wesley Bryant, Sanford Bryant, Milton Bryant, Kenneth Bryant, Robert Bryant and Norman Bryant; one sister: Helen Wells.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Second Christian Church, 1071 Booker Street, Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
