Eddie J Bland , 67, of Vandalia, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Eddie was born of February 14, 1959, in Louisiana, Missouri, the son of the Late Jimmie Bland and Norma (Todd) Bland. He was a man of Christian Faith and attended the First Christian Church in Vandalia.

Eddie found great joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved Bowling, walking through car shows, watching wrestling, and listening to classic 80’s Rock N’ Roll. He never missed a chance to stop for a McDonald’s cheeseburger on his way to or from doctor visits. In his earlier years he loved Barbecuing and spending time with family, sharing good food and good company.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Bland, his brothers, Randy Bland and Lyle Bland; his sister, Karen Luder; and his nephews, Justin Bland, Josh Luder, Matthew Luder, and Mark Luder.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Jimmie Bland, and his twin brothers, Donnie and Ronnie Bland.

A visitation in honor of Eddie’s life will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 8. 2026, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Waters Funeral Home. Pastor Jamie Franke will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Vandalia Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Home of Tri-County or the Vandalia First Christian Church, in care of the Waters Funeral Home.
