Dorothy Virgina (Mattox) Cosgrove passed away at 9:35 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville. After high school,
she attended cosmetology school and became a beautician. For over 40 years, she owned and operated a beauty shop in the Raytown, Missouri area. She was a Christian by faith and lived most of her adult and married life in the Kansas City area. Her hobbies included being an avid Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan,
ceramics, crossword puzzles, and vacationing in the Lake Ozark area.

Born: Autust 10, 1924 in Mexico, Missouri, the daughter of Otis and lena (Works) Mattox.

Married: Arthur Dickey, to which they had two children; she later was married for over 24 years to Edward Cosgrove: he preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Joseph R. and wife Joann Dickey, of rural Wellsville; five grandchildren,Tony Fischer,Tammy Spence, Theresa Wood, Teena Lamphiere, and Clay Grant.

Preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter, Phyllis H. (Dickey) Grant in 2003; two brothers, Bill Mattox and Richard Fister.
