Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Vandalia Cemetery.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by:
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Sam Fielder, Larry Fielder, Larin Fielder, Patrick Fielder, Toby Bence and Mike Linkey.

Dorothy D. (Schulze) Fielder passed away at her home in Vandalia on Monday, September 26, 2011. Dorothy was a lifelong Vandalia area resident and had been a member of the Farber Baptist Church. She was a 1945 graduate of Vandalia High School. Dorothy then started working at the Eli Walker and Bobby Brooks Garment factories as a seamstress for over 30 years before her retirement. She enjoyed being outside and working in the yard, reading and needlepoint.

Born: July 8, 1927 in Vandalia, Missouri the daughter of Ernest and Gladys (Moore) Schulze.

Married: Joe Fielder on December 3, 1946 in Greenville, Illinois; he preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons: Sam L. and wife, Jocelyn Fielder of Columbia, Missouri; Larry E. and wife, Evelyn Fielder of rural Farber, Missouri; one daughter, Rita Bence of Quincy, Illinois; one brother, David Schulze of Florissant, Missouri; one sister, Mary Gramley of Vandalia; four grandchildren: Dawn Fielder, Angie Linkey, Patrick Fielder and Toby Bence; also survived by five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: husband, Joe; one son, Gary Fielder in 2009; one daughter, Juanita Fielder in 1954; one sister, Ruth Fox.

Memorials are encouraged to the Ronald McDonald House.
