Donna Lee Yager

Donna Lee Yager, 73 of Vandalia, MO passed away at 2:33 PM Sunday, July 20, 2025, at her home with her husband at her side.

Private graveside services will be held in the Vandalia Cemetery.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Waters Funeral Home of Vandalia.

Donna was born on September 12, 1951, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of Dave Merson.

She was united in marriage to Carl Yager on August 4, 1972, in Baltimore, MD. He survives her of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter-in-law, Tanya Yager; two grandchildren, Gene Yager and Victoria Yager; brothers and sisters-in-law; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Donna was preceded in death by her beloved sons, David Lee Yager and Carl "Buddy" Lee Yager.

Donna worked most of her professional life as a homemaker raising her children and taking care of her home.

Family was everything in Donna's life. She cherished every moment with her family. In her younger years she was an avid bowler, and she enjoyed traveling with her family. When she had a chance, she enjoyed watching murder mystery shows.

Donna was a Catholic by faith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Yager, Dylan Stowers, Justin Stowers, Tony Yager, Joe Resor, Zach Scrogin and Darril Lynn.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in care of Waters Funeral Home.
