Donna M. Watson, age 68, of Louisiana, MO formerly of Vandalia, MO passed away at 4:20 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Maple Grove Lodge Nursing Home in Louisiana, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Waters Funeral Home. Brother Tim Bizelli of New Hope Apostolic Church in Louisiana, MO will officiate. Burial will be in the Vandalia Cemetery following the service.
A visitation celebrating the life of Donna M. Watson will be held from 2:30 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday November 8, 2020 at the Waters Funeral Home.
Donna was born on June 13, 1952, in Bowling Green, Missouri the daughter of Ernest and Jessie (Jennings) Ebers.
She was united in marriage to Albert F. Watson on May 10, 1985 in Whiteside, MO. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2019.
Survivors include daughter, Denise (Brad) Leverett of Louisiana, MO; son, Randy (Helen) Watson of Lee's Summit, MO; daughter, Tammy (Richard White) Peck of Columbia, MO; brother, Dennis (Janice) Ebers of Vandalia, MO; sisters, Jeannie (Mike) Gratton of Vandalia, MO, Letha Ebers of Olathe, KS, Kathy Lovell of Louisiana, MO; grandchildren, Dylan (Lakelynn Pettey) Black, Alex Black, Kari (Dwayne) Combs, Nathan (Penny) Watson, Andy (Andrea) Nitcher; eight great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Marilyn Herriman and grandsons, Roger and Dusty Nitcher.
Donna graduated from Clopton High School Class of 1970. She was a self-employed entrepreneur and very talented at anything she put her mind to doing. She owned several business in the Bowling Green, MO area including the Country Stitch Garment Company, Country Jogger Clothing Store, Kinfolks Country Jubilee and some flea markets. While Donna loved her work, away from it she could be found sewing and making crafts, singing, playing the guitar, cooking her famous deviled eggs, sweet potatoes and cookies. She loved old country and gospel music, being with her friends but nothing meant more to her than her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Donna was Christian by faith.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Watson, Ryan Combs, Cole Combs, Seth Combs, Dylan Black and Alex Black.
Honorary pallbearers are Andy Nitcher, Dwayne Combs, Tavian Watson, Chase Watson, Richard White and Brad Leverett.
