Service:

Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel, 500 S. Main Street, Vandalia, Missouri 63382.
Officiating will be: Rev. George Hinch.
Music provided by: Wayne Lynn - soloist.
Interment will be in the Union Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dickie Wasson, Ritchie Wasson, Larry Kamp, Tony Allen, Eddie McBride and Jim Gaw.

Donald Raymond Nutt passed away unexpectedly at 12:40 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009 at the University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. Don lived most of his life on or near the family farm in rural Ralls County. He attended Cross Lane School and was a 1957 graduate of Vandalia High School. After high school, Don worked for a year at the Avery and Levings Implement Dealership. He then worked for nearly three years at Wetterau. Don then started working at Harbison Walker Refractories in Vandalia. He did much of the clerical work in the pressroom over his 26 year employment with Harbison Walker. Don then started working for Ennis Implement in Vandalia and continued there for over 15 years before his retirement in 2005. For years, Don did custom farming and hay work for many area farmers. He was a Christian by faith and enjoyed attending tractor pulls, collecting miniature tractors, restoring old tractors and attending country music shows.

Born:October 6, 1939 in rural Ralls County, Missouri the son of Frank Everette and Anna Mae (Livers) Nutt.

Married: Buelah Marie Lynn on August 8, 1959 in Vandalia; she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Buelah of the home; two sons: Randall A. Nutt of rural Center; Gary K. and wife, Diana Nutt of Holts Summit, Missouri; four grandchildren: Ricky Magruder of Lexington, Missouri; Jessica Purcell of Fulton, Missouri; Shaylee Hamilton and Dustin Hamilton both of Holts Summit; three great-grandchildren: Landon, Nichol and Lillian.

Preceded in death by: parents.
