Friday, February 17, 2012 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia, Missouri.
Service:

Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Spencer Creek Baptist Church north of Vandalia.
Officiating will be: Rev. Bob Hoehn.
Music provided by: Deanna Divins - soloist; Sharon Hoehn - pianist and Donnie Gibson - organist.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Rick Six, Paul Six, Michael Six, Chad Ennis, Kurt Childs, Jeff Stokes and Forest Dotson. Honorary pallbearer is Harry Divins.

Dolora O. (Jones) Ennis passed away at 4:27 a.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Missouri. She attended Arkansas schools and was a 1937 graduate of Biggers, Arkansas High School. Dolora and her family have lived in the Vandalia area since 1947, moving here from St. Louis. She was the office manager at the International Shoe Company in Vandalia for several years, then the office manager for the Bobby Brooks Garment Factory for nearly a year. Dolora then became the bookkeeper for Ennis Implement Company until 1986. She was the bookkeeper at the Coast-to-Coast store in Vandalia until her retirement in 1998. Dolora was a member of the Middlebrook Methodist Church in Middlebrook, Arkansas throughout the years but attended and was active in the choir and as a chaperone for youth events at the First Baptist Church in Vandalia. She was a member of the BPM Club and in her earlier years, enjoyed bowling, being active in the local PTA and Girl Scouts. Dolora enjoyed many hobbies, some of which were crochet, cooking, reading, fishing, needlework and puzzles. She was an avid Cardinal baseball fan.

Born: August 15, 1919 in Middlebrook, Arkansas the daughter of George Wesley and Lena Gertrude (Johnston) Jones.

Married: Fowler Noel Otto Ennis on March 10, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Survivors include: husband, Fowler of Vandalia; one son: Phillip W. and wife, Sheila M. Ennis of Vandalia; three daughters: Diann and husband, Kenneth Six of Jefferson City, Missouri; Gail and husband, Leroy Breneman of Vandalia; Mary E. Pfeiffer of Plano, Texas; eight grandchildren: Rick Six of Jefferson City, Missouri; Paul Six of Columbia, Missouri; Deanna Divins of Vandalia; Kelly Meals of Springfield, Missouri; Sarah Stokes of Denver, Iowa; Leticia Pfeiffer of Plano, Texas; Amy Childs of Vandalia and Chad Ennis of Austin, Texas; also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; brother, Lloyd W. "Buddy" Jones; sister, Lucille Miller; son-in-law, George Pfeiffer.

Memorials are encouraged to the Spencer Creek Baptist Church.
