Officiating will be: Rev. Dusty Morgan.
Music provided by: selected favorite hymns.
Interment will be in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Jason Clough, Timothy Picton, Charles Picton, Luke Picton, Brad Clough and Andrew Schamma.
Honorary pallbearers: Ryan Sobba, Steve Nichols, Tommy Algae, Louis Rodregueiez and Steven Giroux.
Delores Jean Schamma died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006 at the Pin Oak Care Center in Mexico. She had been a seamstress at Bobby Brooks garment factory for years and also was a home maker. She lived most of her adult life in Vandalia. Member of the United Methodist Church, Vandalia; she also enjoyed gardening, cooking, helping drive friends around town to the store, doctors, etc.; and attending country music shows.
Born: August 30, 1931 in Perry, MO to William & Bessie L. (Krigbaum) Goodhart.
Married: Melvin K. Schamma on December 16, 1950 in Hannibal, MO; he preceded her in death on December 8, 1995.
Survivors include: three sons: Melvin "Butch" and wife, Jeane Schamma Jr. of Jacksonville, IL; Roger Schamma and friend, Donna Mitchell of Vandalia; Danny and wife, Patty Schamma of Lewis Center, OH; three daughters: Sharon "Sherry" Allison and friend, David Evans of Mexico; Susan and husband, Lester Clough of Mexico; Judy Clough and friend, Ronnie Dugan of Strafford, MO; three brothers: Wayne Goodhart of Louisville, KY; Eddie Goodhart of Rockport, IL and Jimmy Goodhart of Jacksonville, IL; one sister: Shirley Elliott of Bowling Green;12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: five brothers: Carl, Gilbert, Roy, Don and Marvin Goodhart and two sisters: Dorothy Vannoy and Grace Schamma.
