Sunday, April 27, 2008 a graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m. at the Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, Missouri.
Officiating will be: Rev. Willis Weatherby.
Music provided by:
Interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Middletown, Missouri.
Pallbearers: Randall Meyers, Randy Meyers, Roger Beer, Robert Beer, Craig Ford and Carroll Lemasters.

Darrell Eugene Gibson passed away unexpectedly at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2008 at his home north of Middletown, Missouri. Darrell had attended area schools and lived his entire life on the family's farm north of Middletown. For most of his adult life, Darrell was self-employed as a mechanic there at the family farm. He worked on cars, trucks and tractors. He was a Methodist by faith and enjoyed fishing in his free time.

Born: May 4, 1930 in rural Middletown, Missouri the son of Hubert Lee and Catherine E. (Oden) Gibson.

Married: Barbara Ann Beer in Middletown on October 25, 1973; she survives at the home.

Survivors include: wife, Barbara of rural Middletown; one daughter, Vicky Poyser of Winfield, Missouri; one sister, Faye Ford of Montgomery City, Missouri; three grandchildren, Jeremy Powell of Louisiana, Missouri; Alex Poyser and Danny Poyser both of Winfield; two great-grandchildren, Blake and Emily Powell of Louisiana, Missouri.

Preceded in death by: parents; two sisters, Rosa Lee Christian and Nadine Christian.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the family.
